DOVE
REAL BEAUTY

Research found that 77% of women were camera shy, whether that meant turning away from the lens, hiding behind a hand or asking for a photo to be deleted. But women weren’t always like this. Bringing back that innocent spirit of your beautiful everyday is something this range of work celebrates.

So much of the conversation focuses on what pregnancy and childbirth do to a woman’s appearance, rather than celebrating what her body goes on to do every day. We wanted to celebrate motherhood, finding beauty in the physical realities of motherhood and all it means.

Research found women were three times more likely to say their mother influenced their beauty routine than a celebrity, while 84% trusted the women in their lives over celebrities for beauty advice. This campaign reinforced Dove’s role in celebrating real beauty by putting the women who actually shape it centre stage.
